What I am working on.

I have decided to journal my quilting journey. I started quilting many years ago but stopped to pursue some other crafting. Last fall I decided that I really wanted to get back into my quilting.

I dug out my fabric stash, tools and dusted off my sewing machine.  Set up a area for sewing and got busy. Since I started last fall I have finished many table runners, doll quilts, baby quilts etc. just trying to get my skills back.

So many things have changed in the quilting world since I left.  Many new tools, machines and wow the fabric such awesome colours and patterns. My fabric is what I would call scrappy but I am slowly branching  out to new colours and patterns.

I am trying to use up what I have on hand and the quilt I am working on is using up some of that stash. The pattern is called Disappearing Nine Patch and has been around for a long while.  I still have two rows left to sew on this top as well as my borders. There are many ways to lay out this quilt but I choose this one so that it looks like sashing has been added.
